Columbia Missouri Fire Department recently unveiled its 100 year book, chronicling the progress of its fire department from the turn of the century through the new millennium. The inside cover is a two page black and white photo of the beginnings of their organization. The body of the book is a well written, well researched history of the department and climaxes with the inside back cover which is a two page breathtaking piece by firefighter/artist Allan Albaitis. It is entitled Millennium Challenge and is the perfect look into the future bringing the book full circle.
