Allan returned to Las Vegas after a warm reception at Firehouse Expo, where he debuted his print, Earth Angels. The response was extraordinary. Allan was the guest of Cygnus Expositions, hosts of Firehouse Expo. Allan's work, Return to Glory, was featured on the Firehouse Expo 2000 commemorative poster. Allan autographed posters and rubbed elbows with his fellow firefighters. Allan showed off other pieces from his body of work. Allan said the trip was inspiring, and the opportunity to visit with America's firefighting volunteers and professionals invaluable.

The South Florida Fair is a huge event which takes place in West Palm Beach, Florida yearly. The Palm Beach County Fire Dept. this year presented a booth which featured the future of firefighting as it's theme. I was honored to receive a call from their Community Education Coordinator, Gerri Penny. She asked if they could use my new print, Millennium Challenge as the centerpiece of the booth. She explained that it would be over eight feet in length and would be accompanied by my photo and the copy that I had written for my website. Of course I was very flattered and not only gave them permission but made arrangements to be there for a couple of days. I needed a break.

The booth was exceptional. Gerri and her staff had created a stunning display. The print looked fantastic and I heard nothing but good comments. My hat's off to all of the people who put this together. Thanks, Gerri, Chief Brice, Deputy Chief Sweat, Chief Miller, Firefighter/Paramedic Smallacombe, and Volunteers Joseph and Alex. And to all the members of Palm Beach County Fire Dept., thanks for the hospitality. I hope to see you again. Allan Albaitis.
